Resumen

The project entitled “Adoption of LLM applications in older adults: a predictive approach for digital inclusion” comprehensively addresses the technological gap that affects elderly people in Neiva, Huila. Based on previous studies that highlight the difficulties of this population in using digital tools, the research justifies the need to promote digital inclusion as a fundamental right in contemporary society, ensuring active participation in digital transformation processes and equitable access to information. The main objective is to develop a predictive model, grounded in the UTAUT methodology and machine learning techniques, to identify the factors influencing the adoption of large language model (LLM) applications such as ChatGPT. This purpose is not limited to recognizing the variables that condition technological acceptance but also aims to propose strategies that foster digital autonomy among older adults, strengthen their confidence, and reduce the barriers that have historically limited their integration into digital environments. The study is supported by a theoretical framework that articulates concepts of technology acceptance, cognition in older adults, and digital exclusion. The methodology includes detailed sample characterization, analysis of social and technological impact indicators, and the application of machine learning algorithms to identify behavioral patterns. Preliminary findings reveal that variables such as perceived security, ease of use, and trust in technology are decisive in the willingness of older adults to adopt LLM applications. Furthermore, targeted training, pedagogical support, and inclusive interface design significantly reduce access barriers, creating a more user-friendly and accessible environment for this population.
